‘PAYOLA’ OUT JUNE 23 ON EPITAPH
Listen to a new song “City on the Hill” at Pitchfork.
Payola is the follow-up album to the first and only Desaparecidos album,Read Music / Speak Spanish. Influenced by ’70s/’80s punk & hardcore like T.S.O.L. and Cro-Mags; early ’80s power-pop the Vapors andTommy Tutone, Payola was co-produced with Mike Mogis (First Aid Kit, Saintseneca, and ‘The Fault in our Stars’ Score From the Motion Picture with Nate Walcott); and was recorded in several batches over the past few years. On Payola, the band consciously tackled a wide range of political issues at a much broader scale.
Pre-orders for Payola are available at http://kingsroadmerch.com/epitaph-records/?id=1866&sid=2014.

For the first time in a long time, we’re hitting both coasts of the US to get your fill of the Rocket in 2014!!
On September 10, Anti- will release their new album On Oni Pond. Like the band’s 2011 album Life Fantastic, it was produced by Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes, First Aid Kit). Below, check out the lyric video for album cut “Head On”.
In a press release, Honus Honus said, “This is a strange and beautiful record but it’s also head on and fearless. It’s not a record that’s going to flirt with you, this is a record that’s asking you out. If you get into bed with us there’s going to be a relationship.”
